I started baking cakes over 20 years ago when my children were small as I felt I could make better designed cakes than what was readily available locally at the time. About 8 years ago I decided to learn the "why" behind baking and went to culinary school and specialized in pastry arts. If I had to choose between cooking and baking, baking wins nearly every time. I have taken numerous courses from pastry chefs and master cake artists and just enjoy learning new techniques and sharing what I know with others.
