Learn how to make a simple swordfish cake.
In this tutorial, I show you how to make a 3D cake of a Swordfish (otherwise known as Marlin) from scratch! This swordfish cake is a simplified version of my premium tutorial at YenersWay.com and shows a lot of the basic steps to create this cake. The premium tutorial is different in the way that the fins and bill are made from pastillage.

Another beautiful piece of art and an excellent tutorial. Thank you for sharing your talent and skills.
Chef Yener I noticed you use some products that don’t have to be sold in bakery depts., such as the pvc pipes and I was wondering I had bought a make-up air brush machine last year. But, I have never used it. It was quite expensive and as I don’t own a bakery air brush machine this one I am referring to looks exactly the same as the one you are using. Would it be the same as a bakery air brush machine since it has never been used no make-up was ever put into it, it is still in the original box? I would like to use this machine but until now hadn’t thought about what to use it for. It had bad reviews on make-up is the reason it was never used for that purpose.
Hi Debbie, there is some expensive air brush kits that you can do wonders with that but for basic cake decorating need like surface toning or giving some shades to flowers, any air brush kit will do a good job. What I am using $30.- at Ebay. The compressor is about $90.- Thanks for your compliments . Happy New Year
Thank you for your quick reply and the helpful answer. I have been practicing and I would like to make this cake for my grandsons 21st birthday next month. On your mud cake recipe would that be the correct amounts for this Swordfish Cake? I think it says 3 layers for that recipe? Thank you for all sharing all your wonderful skills and talents with everyone.
Thank you Chef Yener that was an excellent tutorial.
