This weeks tutorial is inspired by a very popular video game called Fortnite. If we make cakes for family, friends or customers, we usually receive requests for cakes that are based on a trending or popular theme so I thought it would be a good idea to make a Fortnite cake tutorial. Hope you find it useful and learn something from this tutorial.

Rolled Fondant

300g grey/light brown marbling
1kg light green

A commonly used sugar paste for coating cakes. Also known as RTR (ready to roll) fondant.

500g light brown

    Thank you again for another amazing tutorial my grandson has asked me to make it for his birthday in December, he and I have made your chocolate mud cake a couple of times now and can definitely say it is an amazing cake. not sure I could make the tower but the rest I could make thanks to your tutorial and can replace the tower with maybe something simpler.
    I love how you find simple solutions to making things and adding textures with things we would have at home.

    What are the dimensions for the little squares with the triangles cut out of them?
    My pastillage comes out very sticky, like melted marshmallow almost, what might I be doing wrong?
