Tiered Single Pillar Construction

Learn how to create a construction for a 3 tier cake with a single pillar in the center.

When we do simple day to day celebration cakes, we don’t need any construction other than a simple strong board under the cake to hold the weight but when it comes to high set/tiered wedding and celebration cakes, constructions are a crucial part of the project. In this tutorial, Serdar shows you how to make a strong and reliable contruction with a single pillar in the centre. Although this tutorial is for a 3 tier contruction, you can easily make adjustments to suit your needs.

  • Hi Chef. You mentioned that your boards are laser cut. is there a special place that laser cuts the boards or do you do it yourself. I have tried using a jigsaw but do not get a nice round board.
