  • 2 X 30mm high, 225mm x 300mm Chocolate mud cake (800g each)
  • 1500g Ganache
  • Some royal icing (sloppy consistency)
  • 1000 Burgundy rolling fondant (550g used)
  • 1800 White rolling fondant
  • 1200g Pink pastillage (900g used)
  • 400g White pastillage (200g used)

      Hi Julia welcome to yenersway. For the roman pillars cake I used mud cake layered with chocolate ganache. The recipe of mud cake and ganache are available in recipes section. Please look at it if you have any question. I’ll be happy to answer. Good luck

  • The tips on this tutorial are so helpful. Giving support to the headboard and footboard by using the straw technique and chocolate filling was great. When the customer cuts their cake they get a bonus of chocolate versus a support piece which must be removed. I found the template method and pastillage s and c curves very helpful. This same technique would work when making a tiarra. Finallly, the pillow was so simple but I had never thought of making a cylinder and then shaping it into a heart as Chef Yener demonstrates. He creates so many beautiful things with minimal use of molds or gadgets. Thank you for sharing your vast expertise with your viewers. This website is worth every penny spent.
