Chef, as always, amazing tutorial with loads of information. I have a couple of questions please
1- Will the plastic film wrap technique work with buttercream, Italian or Swiss specifically? If so, does it need to be cold to add indentations?
2- The 1st layer of fondant used, how come not only cover areas where you will have the cuts from 2nd later visible or will that create unwanted edges in final gondant layer?

    Thank you.

A1. Yes, the buttercream will work with plastic film. You have to chill the cake time to time when the indentations do not hold.
A2. a) It is not worth to worry about where to cut later. b) Yes, the unwanted edges will occur.
