From a single sugar tyre to a chrome-laden cruiser motorcycle: carve, coat and detail cakes that look driveable.
Log in to track your progress through this journey.

Vehicle cakes live or die on three things: an accurate carve, a flawless coating and convincing metal work. You’ll begin with a single 3D wheel, practising the curves, tread and gloss that make rubber look real, then learn a quick, repeatable method for sugar car tyres so you always have a set ready for whatever you build next.
From there you’ll step into a flat cruiser motorcycle, where every part is laid out in one plane so you can concentrate on templates, fondant parts, airbrushing and confectionery glaze without wrestling gravity. Then the fully carved bodies begin: a classic convertible roadster with its open interior and grille, a sedan-style Mustang Shelby with double fondant layers and racing stripes, a V8 supercar finished with metallic airbrushing and sugar decals, a Lamborghini with real working lights wired inside the cake, and a beautifully detailed vintage Packard with moulded mudguards, suspension springs and a full silver parts inventory.
It suits decorators who are already comfortable masking, layering and coating a cake and now want sharper, more realistic results. By the end you’ll be able to plan, carve, coat, airbrush and assemble a recognisable car or motorcycle complete with chrome work, decals, lights and correct proportions, finishing with the nine-hour cruiser motorcycle build, the most demanding vehicle project in the library.
