This Months Competition
This month's competition is for the Prancing Horse in the Woods Cake. Entrants must recreate the artwork shown in the tutorial. The competition will end at midnight on the last day of the current month.
This tutorial is the third part of a series of tutorials about how to make realistic animals out of pastillage using what Serdar calls the 2 piece joined half body method. The 3D Pyramid and Camel Cake tutorial, and the Tiger on a Rock Cake tutorial are the others in the series. This horse is done with the same detailed standard steps as demonstrated in the other two. These 3 tutorials will demonstrate how if you follow the same basic steps, you can make many other realistic animals. Learn more...
Serdar Yener will personally select a winner based on Cleanliness, Artistry, Technique, Effort, Improvisation and Creativity.
No. As long as you display the same techniques taught in the tutorial, you can change colours, sizes and also be creative and improvise to some extent.
No, there is no size restriction.
Yes, but treat the dummy cake just like a real cake in the tutorial. The dummy cake should not be exposed.
Each month, when a competition ends, it will be listed here along with the winner's entry. The currently active competition is our first ever competition.
