While not everything on this list is absolutely required, these are the things used in this tutorial video.
Of course you are welcome to find alternative ways of doing things and we would love to hear if you've
discovered an easier method or better tool to achieve good results. Please note that some items may be listed as sets,
and it is usually recommended to have full sets, it may not be neccessary. In most cases, only one item from a set is actually used
in the tutorial. Please watch the tutorial before purchasing any items to make sure you are not buying anything you don't need.

thanks chef for tutorial for share..time so wonderful … clearly tutorial… God bless you and fam ….
Chef let me see whether I can explain this. Say if I dont have a proper reference matrial of this dog for example to do an enlargement. I want to do this drawing from scratch. No photoshop help just as a drawing how would I do this drawing? Say I have an eight inch cake for basket. I draw the cake top view and use circle cutters smaller to that like a 6 and 4 inch to determine the size of the dog’s body and head? Is my thinking correct here. I always enlarge pics want to learn how to draw it from scratch specially a 3D animal cake like this
Yes. You are correct. I suggest few things
1. Gather as much as possible related photos of the subject.
2. If there are 2 parts in subject matter like basket and dog and let us say you decide the cake size find the percentage ( ratio nr). Dog height is 1:3rd of basket diameter so your dog height is 1:3rd of the cake.
3. Always work with two views minimum side view fist and the top
4. Work with semi-transparent papers so you can trace the top view from side view
5. Don’t forget the plan you draw only the reference for proportions and sizes so you dont have to spend too much time . For details follow the photos.
I hope this is little help.
Thank u so much Chef. You truly take the time to explain everything very clearly.
I sm really having a blast watching these tutorials. Learning so much thanks to u
Chef did u use the same principal u used in ur 3d vintage car cake
to draw this dog and basket?
Hi Sharon , I did not understand your question. Could you please explain. Thanks
Hi chef how did u plan the drawing of this dog. The cake plan usING the photos u had. Did u get a pic online. Like to know how u drew it. Thanks
What I find amazing is the level of detail and planning that goes into bringing us these tutorials. I am still a little intimidated to try, I am also overwhelmed with the amount of choice I don’t know where to start first! One of the things I do miss chef, is the pricing information that is there with the older tutorials. I find it would be a good benchmark. I practiced the alternative methods of fondant coverage last week which are brilliant. This week I think I will try making pastilliage and pick a tutorial from there!
Wow, what a little princess she is. I bet she loved it.
Fantastic, how the puppy came alive as a little character. Everything is always so well-considered with your tutorials, even the backgrounds. I appreciate how you do the hard yards, sharing how you measure the sizes and make the calculations; and the tricky little approaches like the basket weave and tartan bands. Your presentations have a very logical progression making them easy to follow. God bless, and thank you for sharing.
Thanks again, Adele, for understanding my objectives. You make me feel that YenersWay on the right pathway.
Chef Serdar I always learn so much from your tutorials and this is no different! The tecniques you use makes everything so realistic, the basket, the blanket, the fur, amazing!
Wonderful tutorial .chef you are the best .God bless you and all your family.thanks thanks thanks
